Benefitting children &
families with HIV/AIDS
WHAT’S THE GOAL? Runners and walkers of all ages commit to being part of a Boise area team that will complete four half-marathon races in four weeks. Before and during the races, participants will raise money by asking family, friends and businesses to sponsor their efforts to help the poor and forgotten families suffering with HIV/AIDS in India.
WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO? Heaven’s Gate is a program that currently supports 200 children living in three orphanages specifically designed to care for children with HIV/AIDS. Each facility provides a loving environment and staff to administer appropriate medical care. In addition, more than 1000 infected people living in the surrounding villages are assisted with food, medicine, housing, and an annual health education fair and clinic.
52.4 MILES OF LOVE! Whether you are a participant in the races or a financial supporter, rest assured that Run 4 Heaven’s Gate is not ultimately about completing four half-marathons. Yes, its physical challenge is real. But its purpose is so much more. Through the generous support of individuals and businesses last year, runners were able to raise over $103,000! All race fees were paid by the participants, so 100% of all proceeds went directly to those suffering and struggling for their very lives.
