June 10th we boarded an airplane early in the morning from Budapest headed for America. We packed all our belongings, storing some of them at the Bible College, and carrying some with us. We said goodbye to all our friends at the Bible College, and now we are in America. We are hoping that this furlough in America will only be temporary, long enough to get Elysia treated and healed, and then we plan to move to Ukraine to minister from that country. Our two years in Hungary were such a blessed time. We will miss the people we met there, as well as all of the little things that left an imprint in our hearts.
These verses come to mind as we consider the temporary nature of our lives, and the hope of Jesus' glorious coming and our abode in heaven. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus.....
Jesus said, “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also." John 14:1-3
These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. Hebrews 11:13
For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come. Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. Hebrew 13:14-15
For now, this will officially end our blog: Larsons In Hungary. Please go to our new blog: hope4ukraine.blogspot.com to keep up with what is going on in our lives. Thank you for following our story over these last two years. It has been a good two years. God bless you.

Gretchen with Miss Jeni on the Last Day of School
Peter John at the school Pool Party
Hannah and Lizzy having Tea together
Gretchen and some Friends at the Tea Party
Gretchen's last day of school was on Friday. She has had an amazing two years with Miss Jeni Elson and her lovely classmates. I am so proud of her, and eternally grateful for God's richest blessings through the education she has had here. To celebrate the last day of school, we hosted a TEA PARTY for Gretchen's friends and their siblings, their mothers, and a couple of her teachers. We had a GREAT time together with fun and fellowship. It was also such a special way to say goodbye to some friends before leaving Hungary. Posted: Jun 07, 2008

Tuesday I had to have a radioisotope exam on my kidneys, so that meant I was "nuclear" for 24 hours. I could not nurse the baby or hold the kids during that period. Amy pretty much refused to drink from the bottle except when she was extremely hungry or thirsty. But we did manage to feed her some rice porridge that we made. She chowed that down like she hadn't eaten in days. She is such a strong baby. We are so happy for how God has blessed us.
